DreamTime Newfoundlands was recently established when we obtained our first Newf in 2003. It was at this time that we decided that the Newfoundland Breed was our true passion. The spirit and character of the Newfoundland is the reason why we chose to start a future in the breed.

 When we were looking for a name for our boy Kosmo, his breeder, Manuela Streicher of Shadow's Eternity Newfoundland Kennel in Austria , told us that she would like us to pick a name for him that started with the letter "D" and was the name of a God. We did not have to search long. We found "DreamTime" in a matter of minutes and knew that we would name our dream boy after this God. DreamTime is an Australian God of the ocean. How perfect. The name is strong and fits Kosmo so well and was also a perfect for our kennel name. 

Since Kosmo came to our home our relationship and our bond with Manuela has grown so strong. Words cannot express how much we love her.  She is not just a friend to us, she is our Sister. Manuela has a very special love. His name is Helmut Streicher. We first met him last fall when they came to visit us and he immediately became part of our big family. Helmut is the kind of man that only comes along once in a lifetime. He is so loving and so kind and he has a heart of gold.

Now, we are one big family. Yes, we are miles apart but this does not mean anything because we are close in heart.

We are now working together as a family with Manuela and Helmut. We co-own our dogs together and they are lucky enough to have 2 homes, one in Austria and one in the USA .

The main goal of our breeding program is to produce healthy, beautiful, typey and sound Newfoundlands that exhibit the hallmark temperament of the breed, otherwise know as the "Gentle Giant".

Although we are new to the breed we are lucky enough to have Manuela and Helmut as our partners and mentors and we continue to perform extensive research into breeding, pedigrees, health and diet issues and preserving the standard.

We are proud members if the Newfoundland Club of America, the Northland Newfoundland Club and the Newfoundland Club of New England .
